For our cardboard sculpture we made the new world trade center. We wanted to make the new world trade center to symbolize rise over thr rubble because even though we had the devastation with the twin towers we rose up again and made the tower bigger and better. And we also wanted to make something really tall. We are not done by the way.
For my optical illusion picture I made a drawing that I call 4 blocks and 3 blocks. I like it a lot because I think the idea of how it's drawn is really cool. When I first saw it I was so confused by how it was drawn. If we could do the optical illusions again, I would probably do the Palace logo with the confusing triangle.
I painted one of my favorite musical artists for my watercolor painting. His name is xxxtentacion and I don't know what his name means. I like him because he makes a wide variety of different types of music ranging from rap to heavy metal to depressing music. I decided to paint his mugshot because its the most recognizable picture of xxxtentacion. One thing I really like about it is the background because of the colors and the way its painted down the canvas.
Me and my group made a sailboat in the ocean. The sailboat is sailing right by an island with a palm tree with the sun right above it. I think our biggest challenge was probably making the sailboat centered and even. The waves were also hard to make. The palm tree was fairly easy and we got that done pretty fast. In my drawings I learned many things. One thing that I learned was that blending tools exist so that when i'm drawing in pencil I can blend the pencil marks together and make my drawing look more natural and the blending tools allow for more contrast . I enjoyed using charcoal when making my artwork because it was fun to work it with my fingers and try to blend the charcoal properly to make good artwork. I learned that coloring my artwork with any tool is pretty difficult. But I did find the oil pastel tools to be the easiest of all the artwork tools
